Last three times were on country roads and involved people going round bends on the wrong side of the road. Near misses each time.
It's not that hard to stay on your side of the road

I remember shagging some bird and getting a cab home from her house and the cabbie asked me what i was doing around there at that time of night so i told him all the details of my night.Turns out he was her husband.He came up the pub the next day,Wasn't pretty,I knew i'd fucked up.He was pissed off to say the least.

car was stopped by police in a Watford street after a man was seen waiting near a Watford business.
Dog units tracked down a man who was seen standing near a business in Rickmansworth Road in the early hours of this morning.
A member of the public had reported seeing suspicious activity in the street at the time.
Officers said the man got into a car and a police helicopter was called.
Giles Cooper, spokesman for Hertfordshire Constabulary, said: “A vehicle was stopped in Gade Avenue but the car and its occupants were found to be in order.
“No offences were found to have been committed.”

Few weeks back in Pattaya I arranged to meet a couple of people at some hotel bar for a few drinks. Typed the address they gave me into google maps and off I went.
Got 2 buses and ended up bowling around for about 20 minutes til I realised I was fucking miles away from the tourist area or any hotels, was outside a supermarket so give one of em a ring and ask where they are, they said they'd they knew where I was and would come and get me. Then get a call saying where the fuck am I, basically turns out I'm in the wrong place by the wrong supermarket and obviously nowhere near where I shoulda been.
In fact, this area looks quite run down. Oh fuck sake I'm in a slum aren't I?
Then look up and see some nutty looking Thai cunt with one eye sat on his moped on his phone keep looking up at me, and a mob of teenagers all stood round the way I'd just came. I think fuck this, time to leave. I just walk back past them, one says something to me in Thai, I turn round and smile like "alright mate?" one of em laughs and I swear to god I see a blade. I spark up a fag and bowl off. Few feet down the road get asked for a fag, just give matey one and keep walking.
Unfortunately for this story nothing interesting happened, I didn't get robbed/raped/stabbed to death, but not gonna lie I was absolutely shitting it. The end.

Westham67 - Ironically the kidnapping was in Margarita which is supposed to be one of the safer places!
Been back quite a few times and am quite at ease with it all now. Have to remind myself (or I'm told) not to be so complacent.

Knocked a bloke down one night (his fault) and pulled over to see if he was alright. As I'm standing there with him lying at my feet, a 4x4 comes speeding towards us with no intention of stopping - it's a common ploy to fake an accident and then rob he cars that stop to help. I remember thinking 'what a stupid way to go´. The driver swerved at the last moment.
Cholo - the bus journeys are mental, especially at night.

balders - quite a few years back (if I remember rightly Mrs FEH was pregnant at the time, and given Far East Hammerette's now a teenager it was that far back) I was out walking with the missus. I was a bit ahead of Mrs FEH when she suddenly yelled out at me - I was about to step on a fucking snake. I moved back just in time That gave me somewhat of a start!

Caracas airport is pretty scary , was there in 96 undecided as to where to go. Went to Margarita in the end . The amount of people trying to "Help" me with my bag was crazy
Two things I remember . When paying for my flight to Margerita I pulled some Bolivars out of my pocket and the bloke booking the ticket said "Be careful Sir there are some very bad people in this airport"
Also the only Lonely planet book that tells you to get out of the airport as quickly as possible

I dont like that Debs either , they text on their Motorbikes in this part of the world
Companies in some parts of Asia will not let an Ex-pat drive and supply drivers , I dont let them text or talk on the phone while driving, its dangerous enough as it is here

On a call with a colleague who was driving (when I worked for a previous care company), she kept checking texts on her phone down windey country lanes...felt genuinely very unsafe.
